For my birthday, I have revamped our website. Since blogging is so popular, I wanted to be able to keep up with my friends and I couldn’t do that unless I could find an easier way. So, I rebuilt our website and now instead of having to import the pictures, I will just create an album and drop the pictures there. So for this page, please go to June 2008 album. You can get there by click here or clicking on my albums at the top of the page.

I had a fun birthday (june 16th for all of you who forgot...and i know who you are). At work, we went to lunch, I had 2 cakes and my co-workers/friends were very nice. When I came home, we headed out to a church activity (FHE in the park) where kind friends brought a lot of cupcakes to celebrate the couple of birthdays that day.

I was really touched. These women at church don’t know me that well (and maybe when they get to know me there will be NO cupcakes next year) yet they treated me like I was one of the bunch. I felt truly blessed to have great friends at work and at home. I felt blessed to feel a part of the neighborhood (ward) and am excited about the opportunity to create even stronger friendships.

Man...where did all that mushiness come from. I’m supposed to have a jolly, fun blog. Oh well, if you keep asking for more...this is what you’ll get....virtual noreen on the verge of virtual tears.
This is a picture of the 3-d pop-up cards my kids made (even cute ayla) and the cookie pie they made for my birthday. Present from Stan is still pending....but that’s another story for another entry.

At work, there’s always the next deadline. At church, there is always another lesson to teach. And at home...well I’m sure you all experience the never ending arguments, cooking, spelling tests, etc.

No matter what, there’s always something to do and I’m beginning to realize that waiting for the next lull in life is a useless thought. I think I need to embrace my inner Polynesian blood and enjoy the journey instead of searching for the next weekend in life...because we all know the weekends are just filled with chores and errands anyway.

Highlights from the last 2 months:
* Daddy-Daughter Dance
* I was in Chicago for a tradeshow for work (see the green river below)
* Stan got called to the bishopric
* We went on a 4 day camping trip to San Diego with my parents
* Ayla is talking more and has discovered her love of shoes, Mia is embracing her inner diva and Mika is coping with two demanding sisters.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, we’ve had our cold spells (dipped into the high 30’s at one point), but all-in-all, I LOVE CALIFORNIA WINTERS!!!!

So...let’s see. So much has happened. I don’t know how some of you do it with being able to blog every day, or every week. I’m doing good if I get to it every month.

It was a fun February, though. Sean and his whole family came out to LA because Sean received the prestigious award of National Young Lawyer of the Year. His award was given to him here in LA by the American Bar Association. Kyle flew out as well and that was the first time in a long time we were all home together. We had a raging party. We went to Knott’s Berry Farm (very fun for the kids....hint: no lines at theme parks in February).

I remember Christmas being my favorite holiday...when I wasn’t in charge of anything. It seems the Christmas Holiday comes, slams into you like a semi, and then is gone...and I’m back to work...more tired than I was in November. Am I the only one excited to take down the Christmas tree so I can have my living room back to the neat, uncluttered (yeah...right...who am I kidding) space.

Is it wrong that I’m already looking at my calendar trying to figure out the next holiday? Why isn’t there any holidays where I have it off, but the kids are in school? Crazy!!!

Well, here’s a look at our holiday....

If you are here, you most likely received our Christmas Card and so congratulations on taking that extra step to find out what we’re up to. If you didn’t get a card this year, you probably didn’t even know because this is the first year we sent them out, and chances are we wanted to send you one, but we didn’t have your address (at least, that’s our story). So please email us your address (noreen@noblescoop.com or stan@noblescoop.com) and we’ll send you out a card.

Now, for the update. I have friends that create 2007 top ten lists, 2007 awards and other fun ways to talk about themselves. I’d like to think that I’m that creative, but truthfully, I have no extra brainpower right now. So, I’m just going to give some headlines. If you don’t want to read further...at least you’ll know the gist of our life. So, here goes:
